I think that this is a perfectly reasonable and understandable response, from you and others who simply do not use their real name on the internet. The risk to your whole account is *insane*.

I use FB and G+ under my real name because they are my link to my family, and I have absolutely no issue with being "required" to in certain places online.

I *do* think it's asinine on Google's part, I think it's hurtful, and I think the way they've gone about this has been hurtful and stupid and I hope that the things I'm hearing about them finally realizing that, means some change on the way.

I for one am happy to stay on G+ and use my voice (and my real name) to fight to make it safe for people who can't or simply don't want to.

This is a beta phase, not a preview, so that means they are supposed to be *learning* and *changing* and I hope that they will.

If you don't mind, I'd also like to link to your post on G+. :)
